“Top Financial Advisors under 35.” Two advisors from the Newport-San
Diego market have made it onto the prestigious list: Earl
B. (Bryan) Thompson III of the downtown San Diego branch and Kalyn
Maher-Walker of the Carmel Valley branch. The program is an internal
initiative advanced by UBS, designed to recognize advisors based on
production, net new business, age, and assessments from Field
Leadership, Human Resources, and Compliance.

Maher-Walker, who joined the firm in 2014, is no stranger to
accolades. This is the second time she has been named to the UBS “Top
FAs Under 35.” She has received several other external awards as well,
including being named to the Forbes “Top Women Advisors,” Forbes
“Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors” and Forbes “Best-in-State
Wealth Advisors” in 2018, and On Wall Street “Top 40 Advisors
under 40” in 2016 and 2017.
She is part of the Maher-Walker and Zeigler team located in Carmel
Valley, which serves high net worth clients and their families in San
Diego and surrounding areas. Maher-Walker holds Series 7 and 66 FINRA
securities licenses as well as the State of California Insurance
license. She earned her B.S. in Finance from Leavy School of Business at
Santa Clara University. She believes in giving back to her community and
is an active supporter of the Boys & Girls Club, Special Olympics, and
Monarch School in San Diego. She lives in Encinitas with her husband and

personal and financial goals, working together to develop customized
strategies. He holds Series 7 and 66 FINRA securities licenses, as well
as the State of California Insurance license. He earned his B.B.A.
degree in Finance and Marketing from University of Washington, Seattle.
