Linfinity Transforms Total Supply Chain With Distributed Ledger Technology At The Taiwan Asia Blockchain Summit

(July 11, 2018)

Linfinity attended the 2018 Asia Blockchain Summit (ABS) in Taiwan on 2-3 July 2018. The conference attracted over 8000 blockchain enthusiasts, professionals, as well as political representatives from the region. Linfinity CEO Mr Anndy Lian, together with other industry experts were invited to the summit to discuss the use of distributed ledger technology as a transformative force in the supply chain industry.

“Consumers want to know the product safety, authenticity and origins of the products they consume, and companies have yet to find the perfect solution to meet this demand. As supply chains consist of multiple nodes which use different systems, the sharing of information and integration of data is still not readily available for consumers to leverage. Companies suffer huge damages to their image and bottom line due to the proliferation of counterfeit goods.” Anndy said in the discussion, "Blockchain is a technology that can change the world, we just need to work together with current businesses to make it better and more practical. This is where Linfinity comes in to build a trusted and traceable anti-counterfeiting supply chain through blockchain technology.”

Since blockchain remains relatively new and unprecedented, businesses and consumers alike will require time to understand, trust and adopt the new technology. To assuage business owners’ doubts, Linfinity aims to concisely explain blockchain and its ability to solve persistent business pain points. Focusing on commercial implementation, Linfinity has signed strategic cooperation agreements with many companies in traditional industries such as logistics and Chinese medicine.

Currently, Linfinity has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Taiwan Alishan Group, and will provide its blockchain anti-counterfeiting technology to Taiwan Alishan Group’s cigarette brands. The illicit cigarette trade has showed little signs of slowing down, with counterfeit cigarettes in Malaysia accounting for 34.5% of all cigarettes in 2013, to a staggering 58.3% in 2018. Linfinity hopes that this revolutionary project will effectively eliminate counterfeit goods, protect corporate reputation and safeguard consumers by providing a transparent overview of product origins.

The Asia Blockchain Summit is one of the world's most representative blockchain summits, initiated by the Taiwan Congress and held by the Asia blockchain Alliance. The summit facilitates dialogues between governments and entrepreneurs of different industries, to discuss and analyze the industry situation in depth and offer cutting-edge case studies to better understand the blockchain revolution.
