New Study Compares Starting a Business in Seattle with Other Major Cities

There has never been a better time to start a business than right now. With startups and small businesses popping up all over the country, the demand for information and assistance has grown. Online resources are available and improving rapidly for every aspect of the small business process. How we do business is also shifting and changing. Freelance workers and consultants are available to help pick up slack. Remote teams ensure that you are hiring the best employees, no matter where they work.  

“Where might be the best place to start a small business?” one might ask. A new study was recently released by the National Press Distributors that looked into the best cities to make startup dreams a reality. Seattle topped the list of cities that support and foster small businesses. With hundreds of new small businesses starting in the Emerald City, there are resources galore to assist with the early stages of new business development.

According to the NPD there are various resources available to guide potential entrepreneurs from choosing what type of business license they need, through hiring the right employees, to marketing a new business, choosing an accountant, and finding a place to conduct work. The number of self-employed people in the U.S. has risen by 150,000 since 2014 and Seattle has played a huge part in that. With the recent tech boom and population surge, there has never been a better place to build a network and find a niche than right now.

The internet has changed the way lives are lived and how people do business. Because of that, more people are starting businesses right now than ever before. According to the new NPD study, Seattle is a great place to start that journey. With budding opportunities and countless resources, it should definitely top the list of potential new business headquarters.
