Obamas Gun Ban Doomed to Fail, Says Philippine PI

  (January 15, 2013)

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) January 15, 2013

Philippine PI, a professional investigation and private detective agency specializing in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, believes the proposed gun bans in the United States will fail to curb gun violence, and a more effective solution is in order. Investigators cite a valid concern that taking guns away from law abiding citizens has been historically ineffective. Philippines investigators emphasize the need to protect the constitution of all countries, and the right to bear firearms is an essential part of healthy societies. Despite any good intentions, it is the opinion of Philippines investigators that the efforts will fail.

Regulation of guns in the Philippines is much more restrictive than in the U.S., yet violent crime and murder rates are much higher than in the United States, according to the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) in Manila. In Mexico, where it is nearly impossible for law abiding citizens to own a gun, the government and National Statistics Institute (INEGI) reported 95,632 homicides between 2007 and 2011, with 27,199 homicides in 2011 alone. Figures for 2012 are still being counted. Citizens of dictator controlled Venezuela are not allowed to own a firearm, and its homicide rate is the 5th highest in the world, according to United Nations. The Home Office and Australian Bureau of Statistics report that gun bans in the U.K. and Australia have also failed to decrease violent crime or homicides in recent years.

Philippines investigation by Philippine PI shows that after higher gun controls were enacted in the Philippines, requests for crime and homicide investigations at the company actually increased. Management explains that while law abiding citizens have less access to guns to protect their homes and families, criminals continue to have easy access to illegal or stolen firearms. In an FBI report released in 2012, the agency showed a decrease in violent crimes in the U.S. over the past 5 years (view the report here), when gun ownership actually increased, according to the National Rifle Association of America.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution states, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Gun advocates say the Amendment is to protect citizens against tyranny. Stalin and Hitler took the guns away from citizens of Russia and Germany, for tyranny and mass murder. Mao Zedong took guns away from the Chinese, and executed a total of 700,000 people between 1949 and 1953, and caused the deaths of between 40 to 70 million. Fidel Castro and North Korea are more examples of dictators who have taken guns from citizens, for control and abuse of their people.

Philippines detective agencies says its critical to focus on criminals rather than infringing the rights of citizens with no criminal record. Management reports that requests for homicide and other violent crime investigations have not decreased with stricter gun controls.

If a criminal wants to conduct a mass killing, he will find the weapon, said William J. Carter, Vice President of Private Investigations. Its important to protect the rights of citizens, and to look at violent movies and video games produced, the lack of security in public schools and offices, and the root causes in the American society that are causing the killings.
