Pixel Film Studios Releases ProFilm Plugin for Final Cut Pro X Today

  (January 15, 2013)

Aliso Viejo, CA (PRWEB) January 15, 2013

California based film studio and Final Cut Pro X plugin developer, Pixel Film Studios, announced the release of ProFilm, a filmic looks plugin for Apple Final Cut Pro X.

The ProFilm plugin is a great way to make your footage more cinematic in FCPX, said Christina Austin, CEO of Pixel Film Studios. One of the most common questions in filmmaking is 'how do I make my video look more like film?'

With ProFilm, Users can take their video footage and give it a real filmic look. ProFilm has an aesthetic quality that creates that theatrical mood every indie filmmaker is trying to achieve. The soft and organic feel allows the viewer to get lost in the film.

Users can then add a subtle 35mm grain texture to their footage inside Final Cut Pro X, giving the illusion that your video was chemically processed onto real film. Film grain is a commonly used by filmmakers to add style and depth to their videos. ProFilm also helps allows their footage a soft, filmic look without losing the sharpness of the image.

ProFilm's library offers 30 filmic looks to fit the mood of any film. Users only have to choose the color grade they like, then adjust the gamma amounts to add contrast and darkness to the film.

ProFilm was professionally designed to work seamlessly inside of Final Cut Pro X. As a FCP X effect, ProFilm plugins can be dragged and dropped onto your footage and previewed in real time without rendering. ProFilm also has easy-to-use controls that can be found in the FCPX inspector, allowing users to calibrate their settings quickly.
