Rick Caballo and Tony Brown Win Gold

  (July 03, 2018)

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --áCompiling the iconic 40 year career of Tony Brown into a coffee table book may seem like an insurmountable task, but Rick Caballo of Dead Horse Branding has done just thatů And more. Rick Caballo, award winning designer, has won yet another award for his sensational work on Elvis, Strait, to Jesus - a pictorial journey through Tony Brown's unstoppable, award winning career.

Not only is Rick an award winning graphic designer, he is a photographer, fashion designer and musician as well. Earlier this year Rick was awarded Graphic Design USA's Identity Award for the logo of The Loving Mary Band (Steven Tyler's band). Among that, he is known for his portraits of Willie Nelson, Bono, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, and more.

Rick Caballo is known for his aggressive and cutting edge approach to brand building, so it's no surprise that his latest project - Elvis, Strait, to Jesus - won gold for best published book for the 11th Annual International Design Award.

For two years, Rick Caballo organized, photographed, designed, and developed Elvis, Strait, to Jesus along with Melissa Core-Caballo. This extraordinary coffee table book takes readers through the life of one of music's most successful producers and the impactful relationships he made along the way.

"This was a labor-intensive project that would not have been completed without Rick, as he is completely in line with my taste creatively and the only individual I would trust doing a project that represents my life and career! Rick brought the integrity to the project that I'm not sure I could have trusted someone else to deliver. I am fortunate that he was available to give his time and talent to do it." - Tony Brown

Tony Brown wanted to honor his life achievements the best way he knew how - surrounded by all of those who guided and inspired him along the way. Tony's French Renaissance chair is prominently featured through the book as the foundation for all of Tony's relationships. Rick brought this chair and Tony's career to life through his photographs and rough sketches that make an appearance in Elvis, Strait, to Jesus.

With black and white imagery popping against gold accents, Elvis, Strait, to Jesus is sure to capture the attention of anyone who picks it up.
