InfiniteSkills' "Learning to Create eBooks Training Video" Targets Special Use of Adobe InDesign for Electronic Publication

  (February 01, 2013)

(PRWEB) February 01, 2013

Software training firm InfiniteSkills Inc. this week introduced "Learning to Create Ebooks Tutorial," a course designed to help writers and editors format their documents for publication in the most popular eBook formats, iTunes, Nook, and Kindle.

The Ebook, or electronic book, is a rapidly growing publication format usually consisting of a book-length text published digitally for reading on a computer, iPad, or eBook reader like Kindle or Nook. Ebooks can simply be a digital version of a printed monograph, however they can also include graphics, animation, web links, and other electronic content.

InfiniteSkills' Learning to Create eBooks Tutorial is designed for writers and editors who seeking to take advantage of this rapidly growing method for producing text documents. Whether for self-published authors, or for publishing documents in a business environment, eBooks can provide an easy and cost-efficient way to share your documents in addition to the increased capability for graphics, animation, and web content.

Course author Andy Anderson is a veteran trainer at InfiniteSkills with a friendly and crystal clear approach to teaching complex technology topics. A career photographer and media professional, Anderson is a certified expert in the Adobe Create Suite of media applications.

"Our goal," Anderson says, "is to take indesign and use it to massage a document so we can submit it as an ePublication."

"This is not a course on InDesign, but about how to use InDesign to create an ePub."

Anderson begins by introducing the world of ePublication and explaining how to import and begin formatting a text document in InDesign, covering specifics like converting tables, controlling spacing, and more.

As the course moves forward, key formatting techniques are explained like how to work with page breaks, creating a table of contents, optimizing images in an ePub, and controlling and editing images.

Finally Anderson explains how to export your InDesign document to an ePublication format, working with various ePublication formats, validating your document, and finally publishing considerations like obtaining an ISBN and publishing your eBook electronically.

With Anderson's decades of experience as an Adobe trainer, beginners and experienced InDesign users will be able to publish professional quality eBooks using InDesign in a matter of hours.
