The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) announces the nominees for awards to be presented at the GSA Awards Dinner Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.
The awards program recognizes semiconductor companies that have demonstrated excellence through their vision, strategy, execution and future opportunity in the industry. The award categories and nominees are as follows:
We are pleased to honor Dr. Aart de Geus, chairman and chief executive officer of Synopsys, as the 2009 Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award recipient. Along with this prestigious award, the evening's program will recognize the achievements of semiconductor companies that have demonstrated excellence in vision, strategy, execution and future opportunity.

New in 2009, GSA has created regional awards for companies headquartered in the APAC and EMEA regions. GSA's APAC and EMEA Leadership Councils voted to determine which companies in their respective regions demonstrate the most strength in market leadership/competition, product lines, innovation, corporate management (including culture, vision, talents and leadership), and overall likelihood of long-term success.
